WOMOFIX Anti-Prick – Driver-Door Security for Fiat Ducato & Equivalent Vehicles

WOMOFIX Anti-Prick protects the driver’s door against the so-called Prick Attack. In this method, the outer door skin below the handle is pierced in order to reach the central locking linkage. The 1.5 mm stainless-steel plate reinforces this area from the inside and prevents the lock mechanism from being manipulated.

Inside or outside – one protection plate is enough

The internal driver’s-door protection prevents piercing attacks just as reliably as the external version. The protective effect is identical, as is the installation effort. You do not need both versions – one protection plate, either inside or outside, is fully sufficient. The only difference is visibility, deterrence and repair capability: the internal version remains invisible from the outside and preserves the vehicle’s appearance. If maximum deterrence or repair of an already damaged door is the priority, the external Anti-Prick Pro version is the better choice.

No protection plate against this attack method is required on the passenger or sliding door. On the rear door, it is only required if a lock cylinder is fitted – for this there is a separate rear-door version.

What is the Prick Attack?

A break-in method in which the door skin near the driver’s-door lock is pierced in order to trigger the central locking via the linkage. Read more in our guide to the Prick Attack on the Fiat Ducato.

Do I also need the protection plate on the passenger or sliding door?

No. There is no lock cylinder there and therefore no relevant attack point for this method.

Do I need a protection plate on the rear door?

Only if your rear door has a lock cylinder. In that case, you need the corresponding rear-door version.

Inside or outside installation – which is better?

The protective effect is identical. The difference lies in appearance, deterrence and repair capability. The external version also covers an area that has already been damaged.

Should I install Anti-Prick even with HEOSafe?

Yes. They secure different attack points: HEOSafe locks the door, while Anti-Prick specifically protects the vulnerable area at the lock cylinder that can be pierced. The difference is explained in the guide Prickstop vs. HEOSafe.
