Universal motorhome & van security bar with steering wheel lock

WOMOFIX CabBar is a visible, purely mechanical cab security device. The steel bars are hooked between the driver and passenger doors, making it harder to open the cab door from outside. The steering wheel can optionally be included in the security system. This creates a stable barrier against unauthorized opening – ideal for vehicles left unattended at parking areas, rest stops or campsites.

Flexible use

• Optionally include the steering wheel: For additional security, the steering wheel can be integrated. This creates more space; in many vehicles – for example the Fiat Ducato and equivalent models – the front seats remain swivelable.
• Use the steering wheel lock separately: The included steering wheel lock can be used independently of the door bars and then connects the clutch pedal to the steering wheel.

Compatibility

CabBar is suitable for vehicles with conventionally shaped door armrests or handle areas. The decisive factor is the door geometry, not just the vehicle model or first registration.

Fiat Ducato: Up to and including model year 2020, the older relevant door trim is clearly identifiable. For transition vehicles from 2021, please compare the door trim with the product images. The new flat or integrated door-handle design of Ducato Series 8 / Type 8, 9 and 10 is not suitable. For these vehicles, we recommend a suitable additional lock from the HEOSafe product guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does CabBar fit every Fiat Ducato?

No. The door-handle/armrest geometry is decisive. Up to and including model year 2020, the older compatible version is clear. For transition vehicles from 2021, compare the door trim with the product images. The new flat or integrated door-handle design of Ducato Series 8 is not suitable.

Is CabBar suitable for other vehicles?

Yes. It fits many motorhomes and vans with classic door armrests, for example Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper with corresponding door trim, VW Transporter T3–T6, Mercedes Sprinter up to 2018 or Renault Master from approx. 2010 to 2024. Door geometry is decisive.

Can I swivel the seats with CabBar installed?

In many vehicles – for example the Fiat Ducato and equivalent models – yes. If the security device is additionally hooked into the steering wheel, more space is created between the seats. Whether the front seats can be fully swivelled depends on the vehicle, seat and installation position.

Can I use the steering wheel lock on its own?

Yes. It can be used independently of the door bars and then connects the clutch pedal to the steering wheel.

Is drilling required?

No. CabBar is hooked in, adjusted and locked – without drilling or tools.

Does CabBar protect against the Prick Attack?

No. CabBar mechanically blocks the doors. For targeted protection of the driver door against the Prick Attack, we additionally recommend the WOMOFIX Anti-Prick protection plate.
