About the founder

I'm a mechanical engineer with many years of experience in machinery and plant engineering. In 2018 I founded my company – originally with the aim of supporting companies in sourcing metal components.

Privately, I've always been an enthusiastic camper: first with a tent, later with a caravan – and now on the road in a motorhome I converted myself, based on the Peugeot Boxer. The development of WOMOFIX began as a project of Jactio e.U. This project later grew into JANSTAHL GmbH, which today is responsible for the development, manufacturing, and distribution of WOMOFIX products.

While converting my own vehicle, I began using my experience from professional purchasing and manufacturing to source suitable security solutions. Step by step, I tested the first products, installed them myself, and eventually added them to my shop.

Today we sell a carefully curated range of products around camper security – every part personally tested by me, many of them fitted in my own vehicle. Over 5,000 customers have already chosen our solutions and secured their vehicle.

Personal advice matters a lot to me. I understand my customers' concerns because it's about my own hobby – camping. I'm reachable by email, phone, or sometimes even right at the campsite.

And this is just the beginning: new products are already in the works – perhaps soon for other vehicle models too.

Our "test vehicle"

We keep getting asked whether our security products also fit other camper models.

All solutions – from our PrickStop door locks to the pedal lock – are based on our own vehicle, where we test them daily: a Peugeot Boxer L3 H2 (2018), which we bought used and converted into a compact three-berth panel van without a fixed conversion.

During the conversion, comfort and everyday usability were our priority. We built all the furniture ourselves, and all tanks are mounted space-savingly under the floor. Reliable power comes from a 200 W solar panel and a 100 Ah LiFePO₄ battery, and cosy warmth from a diesel parking heater.

This keeps us independent from gas canisters and gains us valuable storage space for our kitesurfing gear.
